COCK SPARRER - Featured Artitst
Cock Sparrer have been back in the studio and Re-recorded ENGLAND BELONGS TO ME. We're not normally a fan of re-records here at Oi HQ as bands very rarely better the original. But dare we say it that Sparrer have suprised us all once again by producing a version which has more energy than a factory of Red Bull!
The reason for the re-record is that British UFC fighter Dan "THE OUTLAW" Hardy (www.danhardymma.com) uses the song as his intro music to the ring (octagon). The boys invited Dan down to the recording and he provided the opening Oi Oi's and sang backing vocals. Thankfully he was a top bloke and actually a very decent singer as no-one fancied telling someone who's day job is fighting, that his vocals weren't good enough!!
Check out the pictures of the chaps in the studio on Dans Blog...... Dan's last 4 fights have been on the same night that Sparrer have had a gig and he's won all of them. His next one is no exception. He fights on March 27th - (the same night Sparrer play LONDON) however, this time it's for a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE. Captain Oi and Cock Sparrer wish him all the very best.
